I would like your opinion on the best diff for my situation. I have a 5-speed and will build the motor later which will have 400-700 (Turbo) H.P. at the motor. I have heard conflicting stories on which diff to use and would like to hear from prople who have these diff's and their personal experience with them. My 3 choices are: (1) Detroit Locker, (2) Detroit Tru-Trac, and (3) Auburn Pro. All 31 spline axles.
The car will be 99.9% street driven all the time. I will probably take it to the track once a year. I also drive very hard/rough.
The Detroit Locker I've been told is the strongest but is noisy (How Noisy can it be???), you can't use it with ABS, but some people have told me you can. I have no clue.
The Tru-Trac I've been told/read is good but not as strong as the Auburn Pro diff. I've not read anything regarding the Auburn Pro diff.
Im up for any kind of input/qustions, etc.,etc. Please Help.
Thank You.
